We look good, we smell good, and we have just exposed ourselves to 200 different chemicals a day through cosmetics.
Might there be a connection between the serious health problems we face today and the toxic chemicals in our shampoos, skin care, makeup, toothpaste, deodorants, hair dye, household cleaners, dishwashing, and laundry, products? Many years ago I had the privilege of meeting a woman determined to change the cosmetic industry. Having studied the implications of these toxic chemicals on our bodies, she set out to educate as well as to find alternatives to the hundreds of toxic chemicals we expose ourselves to daily. Linda Chae is a researcher, formulator, and an educator. Linda reflected on her beginnings: "I started from scratch with a mortar, a pestle and a blender. Determined to gain a thorough understanding of how the skin works, I studied chemistry and physiology along with cosmetology. I worked with medical doctors and assisted with pre- and post-op surgical procedures to accelerate the healing process. Then I took up the study of plant biology and herbology, pharmacology and product formulating. I extended my studies in every direction until I fully understood the inner workings of the skin."
Linda’s work represents the culmination and continuation of twenty seven years of research, dedication and vision on the part of one of the nation's most innovative cosmetics formulators. She has recently introduced a new line of skin care, with many more to be released over the coming months. On top of that, she will be introducing a line of house cleaning products, also containing only safe and non-toxic ingredients.
